(Wo)Man of the World
It was a week filled with so much culture and history but it was a good week. I went to China with my friend Jenn and these are some of the picutres. I don't think they are in any order but you will get an idea of how packed out week was. We managed to go to other places too but there just isn't room here for all of the pictures. I left out the Terracotta Warriors, Ming Tombs, and the Summer Palace. If you are interested and I doubt that you are, I can send you more photos and stories. Please leave a comment so I know you're looking.

The Great Wall of China.
Jenn and I standing on the wall. Look how empty it is. We found a path that most people hadn't noticed noticed and it was almost deserted.
I actually got to walk on The Great Wall of China - and it was great!
Flying a kite in Tian'amen Square.
Jenn's showing us the way into The Forbidden City. Closed to the public for over 500 years.
Early in the morning, the Chinese gather to exercise in the vast park at The Temple of Heaven.
Entering The Forbidden City with our tour guide Peter.
People exercise not only their bodies but also their minds.
The Temple of Heaven.
Jenn and I rented bikes to explore the Hu-tongs which will be destroyed to make room for the 2008 Winter Olympics.
It was an amazing experience!
Off to explore . . . like Marco Polo? He brought back ice-cream and we ate ice-cream.
